Memorial Races and strong betting opportunities at Straubing
Sunday racing at Straubing promises both emotion and quality, as the card is shaped by several memorial events honouring influential figures of German trotting. The Anna Schumm Memorial, the Heinrich Hiendlmeier Memorial and the Ejadon Hall of Fame Cup headline a competitive PMU meeting, supported by an attractive betting offer. With a mix of established stars, improving younger horses and open handicaps, punters can expect demanding form analysis and rewarding betting chances throughout the programme.

Race 1:
Nancy Leka made a solid debut and could be ready to record her first lifetime success. Romashka lines up from the front row this time and should be much better placed early. Donna des Bois showed signs of temperament before the start last time but has the ability to win a race like this if everything goes smoothly. I’m a Green is capable of springing a surprise.
Our pick:
(1) Nancy Leka – (2) Romashka – (4) Donna des Bois
Race 2:
Wingback Design appears under new management and horses often improve when switching to the Manfred Schub stable. Just Repeat is very reliable and rarely runs a poor race. Pamira had a tough journey first-over last time and is better than the bare result. Wikileaks is one to consider seriously.
Our pick:
(5) Wingback Design – (3) Just Repeat – (7) Wikileaks
Race 3:
Undine Magic produced another strong effort when delivered with cover and remains unbeaten for Manfred Schub. Negresco landed a suitable task in Berlin and arrives in good heart. Louis d’Or can also end up in the winner’s circle with the right trip. Delaware Bro caused a positive surprise recently, while Rozmarin is not out of it if enjoying a smooth passage.
Our pick:
(4) Undine Magic – (6) Negresco – (2) Louis d’Or
Race 4:
The Anna Schumm Memorial brings together a high-class field. Track record holder Desiderio is chasing another success after an emphatic latest win. See the Moon was only beaten by Tyron Hill and remains a serious contender. German Horse of the Year Ocean Eyes returned with a promising comeback run. Postillon can be involved in the decision on his day, while Remus Eck is very consistent and Miramax BR arrives after scoring in Italy. Mind the Superfeta in this race.
Our pick:
(5) Desiderio – (3) See the Moon – (7) Ocean Eyes – (5) Postillon
Race 5:
Indy and Unfinished Business fought out a thrilling duel last time, with the photo finish separating them. They meet again here, this time with amateur drivers in the sulkies. Fly Home is in good form and should be competitive once more. Tom Karten makes his Straubing debut but is more of an outsider with It’s Me, although a surprise would not shock.
Our pick:
(2) Indy – (3) Unfinished Business – (8) Fly Home - (5) It's Me
Race 6:
In the Heinrich Hiendlmeier Memorial, Perceval will try to exploit his handicap advantage and the longer distance should suit him perfectly. Happy Jack impressed when winning in amateur company and can follow up if he gets into his stride early. Marilyn Boko returned to winning ways in convincing fashion after a long dry spell. Maneli made a start error last time but still performed respectably.
Our pick:
(1) Perceval – (3) Happy Jack – (5) Marilyn Boko
Race 7:
The Ejadon Hall of Fame Cup could go the way of Miss Red Lady, who showed with a commanding recent win that her physical issues are behind her. Dafna and Reine des Neiges are both candidates for the minor placings, as is the improving Breeding of Hanke. Veyron Bros also belongs into calculations, while Jerry Box and the unpredictable Ideolog add further depth to the race.
Our pick:
(6) Miss Red Lady – (4) Dafna – (7) Breeding of Hanke
