Cash Shower instead of Snowfall?
There has already been plenty of precipitation at this year’s winter meeting at Straubing – mostly snow. Fog and other weather caprices have also played their part. But for the final card of winter race days the forecast could bring a shower of cash instead. Outsiders dominated the most recent fixture and triggered a whole series of jackpots. Race 3 features a €402.60 trifecta jackpotRace 5 comes with a €1,345.79 superfecta jackpot, and Race 6 concludes with a €427.55 exacta jackpot.
Race 1:
Romashka has already shown the ability she brings from abroad and looks a major player. Wikileaks is improving steadily, while Pamira has often faced difficult trips but remains dangerous. Two-year-old Iroshima Jet hinted at talent early on. Benedictus disappointed last time and should be capable of much better, while Great Darkness Fire appears to be progressing nicely.

Race 2:
Happy Jack is in terrific form and clearly benefited from partnering Germany’s reigning amateur champion two starts ago. Marilyn Boko and Dafna both struggled with the tape start recently. Fly Home once again delivered a solid performance. Excellent Grandcru always runs well in Straubing and returns from a break with strong credentials. This race looks ideal for superfecta players.

Race 3:
With a jackpot in the trifecta pool, this race demands close attention. Quick starter Augustiner could attempt to dominate from the front. Postillon was a commanding winner last time, while Ocean Eyes is still seeking his first victory of the season but remains competitive. Lambo Fortuna appears to have rediscovered his old class.

Race 4:
Indy and Unfinished Business clash once again, this time both enjoying improved starting positions. Crema di Nocci showed excellent harmony with her driver. The tricky Ideolog has the talent to upset the field if handling his draw. A faultless Zazu Diamant would be a serious threat to all. The V3-Final bet starts here.

Race 5:
Louis d’Or scored impressively last time but must stay in stride and avoid covering extra ground. Negresco and Undine Magic have both shown they are capable of better than recent efforts. Mercedes AMG could surprise, while Othello Venus finished strongly and may confirm that effort. Saluki also fits well in combinations, especially with the attractive jackpot on offer.

Race 6:
Nancy Leka made an early costly mistake last time but remains highly regarded and is reportedly set for a move to Sweden soon. Granelli MF performed very well, while Georgina ZS exceeded expectations. Picabo Boko could spring a surprise if staying flat. With the exacta jackpot in play, multiple combinations are advisable.
